Our Story

 Since 1999 The Mother Lode has been a constant part of the local downtown Circle Park Kernville antique scene paying homage to the area's old west Gold Rush history. In her Circle Park frontage location, The Mother Lode features lumber milled locally in Johnsondale, forming rough hewn inner buildings, and rustic storefronts, hallways, and arches that set the stage for all the wonderful antiques and vintage finds. 

As Proprietors Sean and Kimberlin Harrison, purchased The Mother Lode in 2018 and brought along a unique knack for merchandising through decorating and staging.  Along with us came the addition of just a touch of the modern age... computerized software! Until then, everything was handwritten, including receipts! 

As opposed to an antique mall, the majority of the store features our hand-picked unique pieces and collections combined with a small handful of highly curated vendors bringing you some of the best and most interesting antiques and vintage finds in the area.

We are proud to be small business owners and feel blessed to  live right here in the beautiful Kernville community. We also feel fortunate to have our daughters, Tyler and Grace, involved in The Mother Lode by helping out in the store when they are home visiting and also vending with booths in the store.  If you're lucky, you might even find a shop bulldog or two around, Winston and Lola.
